Roger Bennett (former pianist for the Cathedral Quartet and Legacy Five) passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. I first meet Roger in 1999 on the Cathedrals farewell tour. He was so gracious to me that night and I remember thinking then that there was something really special about him. The last time I saw him was at the 2006 National Quartet Convention. Adrienne and I attended his pianorama showcase on the Saturday afternoon of NQC. I remember sitting there and thinking to myself...after all he has been through there is still something special about Roger Bennett.I imagine that Heavens choir is a whole lot sweater now that Roger has taken a seat on heavens piano bench.
Please remember the Bennett Family and Legacy Five family in your prayers during this difficult time.
