Because He LIVES!

Adrienne and I have been attending Westside Family Church in Lenexa for the last few Sundays and we have really fallen in love with this body of believers. Pastor Dave Cox is currently in a series entitled "Seriously?" In the series he defends the Christian faith... as I have sat here tonight reflecting on the messages and thinking about today (Good Friday) and what it is that we remember today; that Jesus was crucified on cross for my sins and your sins, it reminds me of how the Love of God is greater then anything that you and I could even begin to comprehend. ONLY the Christian faith serves a GOD who demonstrated that kind of love. I am so thankful that my faith is planted on the sure FACT that three days later on Sunday morning that Mary went to the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea and discovered that the stone blocking the entrance to Jesus' grave had been rolled away and that Jesus had DELIVERED on his promise that he would LIVE again!! And because of that you and I can LIVE again! May we never allow the commercialism of Easter overshadow the unfailing TRUTH that our SAVIOR is not bones in a tomb in Jerusalem but He is RISEN - He is ALIVE !
