Okay, Adrienne has taken over the blog over the last several postings but I wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a very Merry CHRISTMAS! These are exciting times around the Goering house with this being Lincoln's first Christmas. Lincoln's Great-Grandpa & Grandma Bartlett are coming over in a few hours to exchange Christmas gifts and then we are headed down to Grandpa Steve's house because Uncle Matt and the soon to be Aunt Kristin are coming in town for the Christmas holiday from Arkansas. We will post photos and videos from all the Holiday festivities after the first of the year.
Moving onto my third love (Adrienne & Lincoln of course being #1 & #2) ... politics. I am enthralled with everything Presidential politics has to offer. I love dissecting the debates, watching the polls and of course keeping my television tuned into FOX News. Wednesday I called the Kansas GOP office to get an update on our caucus. The 2008 Presidential race will be the first time in almost 20 years that Kansas has held a Presidential Caucus. I am so excited about this because the GOP office informed me that the candidates would be making a 5 day stop in Kansas and our county, Johnson County, would be a focal point of the campaign stops. I don't know if you can sense the excitement in this blog but I am fired up to take part on Saturday, February 9!! To learn more about the Kansas caucus visit http://www.ksgopcaucus.org/
The race is just to close to call at this point, but that is what makes American democracy so wonderful! I know I'm a nerd but I love it!
Okay, I guess I better go before Adrienne finds out that I am invading her blog space! :-)
Merry Christmas & Love to Everyone!
