Gaither Concert, Matt's Graduation, and Mother's Day

Gaither Concert

We were given some tickets (Mike's connections, of course) to go to the Gaither concert that was here in town a few weeks ago. It was at the new Sprint center, and Mike and I hadn't been there before. It was a very nice arena with padded seats! That definitely made the night that much more enjoyable!
Lincoln stayed awake for most of the first half of the concert, and fell asleep just as his favorite group, Signature Sound, began singing. He'll see them again some time though!
At the intermission, we went on a search for Reggie Smith. He is a friend of Mike's that was singing that night. Mike didn't know he was going to be there. I guess Bill Gaither had called he and his wife a few days out and asked them to join them in Kansas City. So, we all got our picture taken with Reggie.
Then we came back in for the second half, which was very good - much better than how it has been in the past. They had video of all the "old-timers" who have passed-on on the screen singing along with them while they were also singing on stage. We left just before it was over, to try to beat the traffic. I was glad we did, because we beat the traffic getting out of downtown, but then they had the highway down to one lane for construction, so we didn't get home till about 12:30. And then we had to get up early to drive to Arkansas for Matt's Graduation!! I'll write more about that after these pictures.

We drove to Arkansas on Saturday for Matt's graduation. We got there just in time!

And Matt was offered and accepted a job yesterday - Yay!

Mother's Day

We drove back home to KC on Mother's Day.

We had brunch with Matt and Kristin before we left town.

He loves to point!

He was VERY ready to be home and out of that carseat!
