This past Thursday morning I met my old buddy Donny Henderson at the Airport. He was in the Midwest singing at a crusade in Trenton, MO with Dr. Jerry Johnston. Donny and I first met when he sang with a group called the Poet Voices. He went on to sing with the Greenes before launching a solo ministry. In my opinion, Donnie is one of the great communicators in Christian music. When he is not doing solo concerts he is traveling with a new contemporary Christian group Second Mile which is comprised of Buddy Mullins (formerly of Gaither Vocal Band), Kerri Mullins and Channing Eleton (formerly of Gold City).
Anyway Donny and I had some lunch at On The Border before his concert. He shared his heart for uplifting the church and reaching the lost through his music. Please keep Donny in your prayers.
