Class Reunion & The Goering's in the Wilderness

So last Saturday was my 5 year class reunion. I was soooooooo excited about getting to go back to my hometown...Brookfield, MO population 4,888 (salute)! I mean I was beside myself with excitement. Anyway Adrienne and I drive early that day, get checked into our hotel room and enjoyed some time by the pool before we got ready to go over to the lodge where the reunion/dinner (remember dinner...it's important to this story).

We decided that we wanted to be fashionably late. So we arrived 15 mintutes after 7 PM. As we are pulling up to the parking lot I notice that there is only 7-8 vehicles in the parking lot. This alone should have been my signal to turn around and go back to the hotel...but me being me proceeded in. We got to the entrance and PAID $25.00 for dinner. Dinner come to find out was COLD Pizza Hut Pizza! We stayed for about thirty minutes and then decided to akward silence, low attendance and cold pizza wasn't for subjecting Adrienne and I to it any longer so we left. Thank you Class of 2001 - You ROCK! LOL

Sunday I took my precious wife to a local state park where there is a 1.5 mile board walk that takes you through a forrest, swamp and prairie. I have included a few photos for your enjoyment...

This first photo is of the view from Adrienne's perspective. You may be wondering why she would want me to walk in the front of her the whole way. Well my precious wife wanted to make sure that my face took out all the cobwebs and bugs!

Adrienne and me at the look out tower over looking the prairie.

This view speaks for itself!

My Miss America overlooking the prairie!
