Busy + Exciting Weekend = I'm Tired!

This weekend has seem to have flown by so fast. Friday night Adrienne and I rented a movie and had a nice evening at home. Last night at 6 pm I meet a good friend of mine who is a Trooper for the Missouri Highway Patrol. I went on a ten hour ride along with him. I think that I have a law enforcement bug now. I loved every minute of it. It was the most fun I have had in a long time. We need to pray for all of our law enforcement officers. They are great American Heroes! Thanks Kevin for taking me along!

I got home at 5 this morning and was up at 9 am. Adrienne and I drove down to Harrisonville, MO to see our old friends the Praters. They are Southern gospel trio comprised of a brother (Brad) & sister (Amy) along with a third vocalist (Celisa Harris). I traveled with them for about two years before they came off the road in January 2004. This was their first weekend back on the road touring. I hadn't seen them in over a year and half. It brought back a lot of great memories getting to hear their anointed songs once again. We went to lunch with them afterwards to catch up on old times. Brad was a groomsmen in Ad's and my wedding and Amy sang a song in it. As a matter of fact I hadn't seen Amy since our wedding. So it was a great morning for me.

We came home from the concert and Adrienne suggested that I take a nap. There was no argument from me on that! She woke me up at 6 as we had a dinner date with our friends Adam and Jackie Lang. We just got back from Olive Garden and Adrienne thought that I should post a quick blog (since our weekend was so action packed)!

We are gearing up for some vacation starting Friday morning and going through Monday. We will be down in Bella Vista, AR at Adrienne's mom and step dad's lake house. It will be great getting to see our blogs faithful followers (aka Adrienne's Mom, Grandma and our Aunts)!

Thursday Kevin & Renae and Adrienne and I are going to see the MIGHTY Kingsmen Quartet in Concert in Kearney, MO. They are one of my favorite male quartets and I am just itching for Thursday night. Check out their website at www.kingsmenquartet.com

I will try to take lots of pictures on Thursday and throughout our time at the lake house and will update next week! !
